15 Weeks :)

Your baby is as long as four and a half inches right now, and weighs a bit over two ounces. Hold a large navel orange in your hand — that's how big your little darlin' is.
Curious why your body is finally looking like it's pregnant? That's because your baby is growing bigger each week — he or she is as long as four and a half inches right now. Need a better visual (and a snack)?  Hold a large navel orange in your hand — that's how big your little darlin' is at 15 weeks pregnant. (Now that you're done looking, peel that orange and eat it for a delicious two servings of vitamin C!).
So what keeps your baby busy all day? Mostly, your fetus is in rehearsals — practice, practice, practicing, and getting ready for that big debut. Babies practice breathing, sucking, and swallowing so that when they leave your comfy womb and move into your comfy house, they'll have the skills necessary to survive.   Fetal body movements continue to get practice this week, too. But because your baby weighs so little (a bit over two ounces), you won't feel the calisthenics going on inside your abdominal gym. But don't let that fool you. Your fetus is holding daily aerobics classes — kicking, curling toes, and moving those little arms and legs.
And with each passing week, your fetus is looking more and more like the baby you're picturing in your dreams. By now, the ears are positioned properly on the sides of the head (they used to be in the neck) and the eyes are moving from the side of the head to the front of the face — where they'll soon meet your loving gaze.
Size of Baby: large navel orange sized

Total Weight Loss/Gain: -17 pounds

Maternity Clothes: none... my clothes, especially pants are getting baggy on me.  Go figure.  I don't do anything normally, including pregnancy.

Gender: still unknown for approximately 4 more weeks

Movement: I've felt one thing that I am almost certain was movement.  Expect more in the next couple of weeks. :)  We did hear the baby moving with the doppler at our last appointment.

Sleep: same as before.  Sleeping alright.

What I miss: Not giving a second thought to the amount of caffiene and/or other things like medicines etc I consume.

What I'm looking forward to: the big ultrasound! and Disneyland.  But I suppose that that is not really pregnancy related.

Cravings: yellow tomatoes, cheese, melon (especially watermelon!) and potatoes.

Symptoms: nausea, headaches, ligament pain

This week was a huge week for our family!  We had another doctor appointment where we got to gratefully hear the little ones heart beat, beating strong at 161 bpm and scheduled our big ultrasound where we will hopefully find out if its a he or a she for June 27th, the week after we get back from Disneyland.

In general, pregnancy wise, I have been feeling a bit better.  Less nauseated and finally starting to feel a bit more like myself.  I'm also actually starting to enjoy food again, instead of begrudgingly eating it to keep me from getting sick.  Cravings are popping up, luckily all healthy!

The other big, exciting happening of our life this week (and the reason for late posting) was the fact that Roslyn graduated kindergarten and is officially a first grader now.  We have had the most incredible, amazing year this year with her in school.  We were blessed with the kind of teacher that you dream of for your children and were able to actively participate in her school experience through volunteering and witness first hand how much she flourished and thrived in school.  Our little girl is an avid and passionate reader and writer, the one who used to be 'allergic to dancing' now prances through her days, and she can count, do math, knows all her shapes, sounds and so so much more.  Many tears were shed as this day approached, but we are so grateful and so proud of everything she has experienced and accomplished this year and we know without a doubt that she is ready to be our big first grade girl.  I don't know that anything will ever be as magical or special as her kindergarten year was for us, but we are so excited for the rest of her education to unfold before us.

I hope that everyone has had a wonderful week! :)
