33 weeks :)

Your Baby in Week 33 of PregnancyYour baby is still gaining weight (about half a pound a week), and she could grow up to another full inch this week. With that much baby inside your uterus, your amniotic-fluid level has maxed out, which explains why some of her pokes and kicks feel pretty sharp these days. (There's less fluid to cushion the blows.) Antibodies are being passed from you to your little one as she continues to develop her own fetal immune system, which will come in handy once she's outside the womb and fending off all sorts of germs.

Size of Baby: about 4 and a half pounds, and between 17-19"

Total Weight Loss/Gain: -17 pounds

Maternity Clothes: same maternity jeans and whatever shirts that I can make work.

Gender: baby girl- Vivienne Claire

Movement: lots and lots!

Sleep: doing alright sleep wise.  Thanking goodness for lots of opportunity to rest!

What I Miss: trying to focus on enjoying these moments as much as I can right now.

What I'm Looking Forward To: meeting Vivienne!

Cravings:  Disneyland food!

Symptoms: nausea, soreness and heartburn.  And having to go to the bathroom ALOT!

This week has been a big week pregnancy wise for us!  We've been planning a tentative surprise trip to Disneyland to go see the Fall and Halloween decorations and go the Halloween Party since we enjoyed it so much last year, but it has all been so up in the air, literally until todays doctor appointment where we got the final okay to go thankfully!  Roslyn has absolutely NO IDEA whatsoever and I can't wait to go!  I'm slightly overwhelmed at the prospect of going to Disneyland at 33 weeks pregnant, but more excited.  I have every confidence in my doctors judgement so I know that I will be just fine and I know what I need to do to pace and take care of myself.

In other exciting and big news today... we now have a date for Vivienne's arrival!  We will be meeting her in about 6 weeks or so! :)  I'm sorry for not posting the actual date on my blog, but for some family issues I'd prefer to not write the date online.  If you see me out and about I will be more than glad to fill you in or if you email me I will, no problem.  We're so excited!

Now I need to pack up for our trip and try to decide on how we'll let Roslyn know about it tomorrow after school.  I'm thinking of bringing her card from Mickey Mouse. :)  Have a wonderful week!

32 weeks :)

Your Baby in Week 32 of Pregnancy

What's up with your baby? She's starting to get ready for her big debut, tipping the scales at almost four pounds and topping out at just about 19 inches. In these past few weeks, it's all about practice, practice, practice as she hones the skills she'll need to thrive outside the womb — from swallowing and breathing to kicking and sucking. And speaking of sucking, your little one has been able to suck her thumb for a while now. Something else to note: As more and more fat accumulates under your baby's skin, she's becoming less transparent and more opaque.
Size of Baby: almost 4 pounds, and between 17-19" long according to all the sites I've read.
Total Weight Lost/Gained: -16 pounds as of my last appointment
Maternity Clothes: Still alternating the maternity jeans and shirts that long enough and cut right to cover up the belly.  I also have one novelty maternity shirt that I've worn because I just thought it was too cute!
Gender: Girl!~ Vivienne Claire. :)
Movement: Often and getting visibly noticeable when I look down at my belly.  Her head is under my left ribs and her legs like to kick, kick, kick on my lower right side.  Lots of movement every time I sit or lay down to relax.  Getting slightly painful as she is getting bigger.
Sleep: I could probably sleep all day during the day if it were possible to do so, but have a hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep in the evenings no matter how tired I am.  Trying to nap when I can which helps keep me functional.
What I Miss: Laying on my back and stomach mostly!
What I'm Looking Forward To:  My baby shower on Saturday!  So excited to see my friends and family and celebrate Vivienne's coming arrival! Scheduling our c-section date.
Cravings: Nothing really lately, though I find myself hungry a lot.
Symptoms: Still battling some nausea during the day, ligament soreness, achy back and heartburn.

This last week I've spent actually getting some things ready for Vivienne's arrival!  My mom gifted us with our car seat/stroller combo and swing and we've had the bassinet for a while since we found it early this summer for a great price.  I got everything assembled and have been working slowly but surely on my packing list for the hospital, birth plan and items to get list.

Drew and I went on a tour this week of the birthing center at the hospital in Prescott Valley where all the births are being handled in our area now.  It is so nice out there and we are very, very excited to be delivering there.  The best part for me was learning that post c-section recovery for me will take place in our room WITH Drew and Vivienne instead of Drew being with her while I am in a surgical recovery room, separated from them for at least an hour.  I could not be happier about this change in procedure with the new facilities!
We are having our baby shower this weekend and I could not be more excited to see all of our friends and family and celebrate Vivienne's coming arrival to our lives.  I have the most amazing family of friends who have been working away and in constant cahoots with each other to plan this party... so I have to thank Kristin, Aimee, Priscilla, Liz, Robin, Kristina and so many more for making us feel so loved and special and we haven't even had the party yet!  We're very. very lucky and so very grateful!
My next doctor appointment is on Tuesday and hopefully we can get our section date set soon.  I'll feel a bit better having that done and talking to my doctor about some other questions I have as well.  I hope y'all are having a great week, and as always, thank you so much for your continued love, support and friendship.  This has been a magical time for our lives and it wouldn't be the same without our circle of friends.

31 weeks :)

Your Baby in Week 31 of Pregnancy

Weighing in at three-plus pounds and measuring 18 inches long, your baby is quickly approaching his birth length — though he's got to pack on another three to five pounds before D-day. Also developing at an impressive clip: your baby's brain connections (he's got to make trillions of them!). He's now processing information, tracking light, and perceiving signals from all five senses. He's also putting in longer stretches of sleep, which is why you're probably noticing more defined patterns of wakefulness (and movement) and rest (when he’s pretty still).

Size of Baby: About 18 inches long and over three pounds!

Total Weight Loss/Gain: -16 pounds

Maternity Clothes: maternity jeans and trying to find cute tops to wear so I actually look pregnant and not just large :-P

Gender: GIRL! Vivienne Claire Hall. As confirmed for a third time by ultrasound.  YAY!

Movement: She's definitely active but getting cramped, the poor thing!  She moves a lot in the morning, late afternoon and night still and has settled in place with her head directly below my left side ribs and her feet kicking away on my lower right side.

Sleep: There never seems to be enough but it is better and more consistent lately.  Learning how to nap when I can which has been the biggest help.

What I miss: Laying on my stomach. Coffee. Ibuprofin.

What I'm looking forward to: Enjoying the rest of this pregnancy as much as possible... baby gear collecting... getting her room ready to go... my baby shower... holding her in my arms when all is said and done.

Cravings: the usual, cheese, yellow tomatoes, melon. Sweet tea!

Symptoms: heartburn, back ache, and some morning sickness still.  But all worth it!

We had another ultrasound this week to check on how big Vivienne is because I was measuring further along than I am at my last appointment... and all is good.  She's right where she should be size wise.  I have more amniotic fluid than usual, which explains why I'm measuring bigger in the office.  No gestational diabetes, weight is still checking out great and my thyroid levels are still great with my current dose of meds.  I have an appointment again on the 27th where I will be talking to my doctor about scheduling and some other questions that I have and hopefully get another all clear to go on our special surprise trip to Disneyland for the first Halloween Trick or Treat party of the season.  We haven't told Roslyn just in case, but as of Tuesday this week, I have the clear to go ahead which is good!

I can't believe its only about 2 months until we meet Vivienne face to face.  There is still much to be done... but I know that I will enjoy the process.  Roslyn is loving on Vivi already and such a great daughter and already a wonderful, loving and caring big sister.  Drew has been taking the best care of me and I am looking forward to him being home more after this weekend and the biggest busy season for the band this year is over!  Fall is in the air and we have been enjoying every second... decorating, baking and planning some fall festivities.

Life is very good... I'm content and grateful.

30 weeks :)

How your baby's growing:

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

Size of Baby: About 16 inches long and approximately 3ish pounds

Total Weight Loss/Gain: -17 pounds

Maternity Clothes: maternity jeans and trying to find cute tops to wear so I actually look pregnant and not just large :-P

Gender: GIRL! Vivienne Claire Hall.

Movement: She's getting predictable and definitely settling into her own schedule.  She's really active around 8-11 in the morning, then chills out til about 3 in the afternoon until 5 or so at night and then without fail has a riverdance style dance party as I lay down to sleep.  Must be like 80s night in there for her lol! :P

Add in lettuce wraps and gummy worms and there ya go.

Symptoms: heartburn, general soreness and tiredness and still battling some morning sickness.
